Our Approach
Over the past few decades, the field of massage has changed considerably. New insights have emerged into pain, touch, movement, ageing, and the functioning of the nervous system. As a result, many traditional explanations no longer appear as straightforward as they once did.
Somatica was born out of an interest in these developments and a desire to connect practical experience with contemporary knowledge. For this reason, our educational programs go beyond teaching techniques alone. We have always been interested in the mechanisms, relationships, and context in which professionals work.
Today, Somatica brings together different educational formats, including hands-on training, video courses, books, professional publications, and educational projects for specialists working with the face and body.
Regardless of the format, our goal remains the same: to help professionals gain a deeper understanding of their field and make more informed professional decisions.
Who We Are
Somatica Education & Training was founded by Constantine Berman and Iuliia Lobysheva. Over the years, the project has developed as a shared work that brings together teaching, educational program development, professional publications, and international cooperation.
Constantine Berman is a senior-level massage educator, author of books and educational programs, and a practitioner with more than 30 years of hands-on professional experience. His work focuses on facial and body massage, pain neurophysiology, touch, and contemporary approaches to professional education.

Iuliia Lobysheva is a co-founder of Somatica, project manager, editor, functional nutrition consultant, and author of fiction for adults and children. She is responsible for the development of educational directions, international projects, training organization, and editorial work.
Thanks to her contribution, nutrition and dietary consultation became part of Somatica’s structure, and many educational and publication-based projects acquired their current form.
Today, Somatica remains an independent international educational project where practical experience, contemporary knowledge, and the professional development of specialists are viewed as parts of one integrated system.
