Pericranial massage

Pericranial massage involves working with the tissues of the head, including the scalp, aponeurosis, and areas of muscular attachments. The intervention is aimed at redistributing tension in the head and neck.

The massage may:

— have a noticeable effect on overall well-being and appearance,
— reduce tension in the temporalis, masseter, and occipital muscles,
— decrease the intensity of tension-type headaches and be used as part of a comprehensive approach to their management,
— complement cosmetic and aesthetic treatments,
— promote relaxation and reduce stress and anxiety,
— improve sleep quality.

At the seminar:

Pericranial structures: anatomy and biomechanics.
The role of pericranial tissues in the development of tension-type headache.
Sensory afferentation and tissue response to mechanical stimulation.

Practice:
— deep work on the temporalis and masseter muscles,
— directed pressure and stretching of the epicranial aponeurosis,
— local work on the occipital region and attachment areas,
— decompression of the suboccipital region,
— protocol sequence and integration of all stages.

 

Duration: 1 day (10-17). The conspects & video materials are attached.
