Deep tissue massage: the concept of anatomical trains by T. Myers
Hands-on training in deep tissue massage based on the concept of myofascial meridians (Anatomy Trains) by Thomas Myers.

Anatomy trains are lines that run vertically through the body. They represent a physical map of the myofascial connections that distribute tension and stress throughout the body as we stand, sit, and move. However, if these lines become too tight, short, and restricted, they "lead" us into poor posture and limit mobility, which can ultimately lead to pain.

This concept, reflected in the book of the same name, reveals the anatomical connection between the various links of the myofascial chains and their participation in the formation of all possible motor and postural patterns. And the tension localized in any part of the body will be transmitted through certain structures of the myofascia to other regions, provoking pain and various functional disorders. Of course, pain is a complex phenomenon, but the biomechanical contribution to its occurrence is still often present.

Conceptually, “Anatomical Trains” is, first of all, anatomy. It is a map, routes along which all the diversity of our movements is carried out. And, by applying this map to the area called “the human body”, one can achieve high results in therapy, improve the quality of specific movement, and return bodily freedom to a person in the broadest sense.

The body is one, and any movement is myo-skeletal-fascial-neuro-fluid. When we look at mobility impairment and pain from the perspective of a single specific structure, we see only a narrow and small part of a complex and large-scale phenomenon. It is time to go beyond the framework.

What are we working with?

The seminar will cover various massage options, focusing on each of the structures that make up a specific myofascial meridian that may be involved in a particular imbalance.

Searching for patterns. We look and find myofascial structures with foci of tension - shortening.

We determine the possible relationship of the detected foci of stress and belonging to a specific myofascial meridian.

Working it through various specific techniques in an attempt to bring it to a more balanced state.

What result will I get?

1. An integrated approach to therapy.

2. Myofascial meridians. Detailed anatomical analysis.

3. Visual and palpation assessment of biomechanical disturbances of statics and dynamics. Geometric Dictionary.

4. Development of a short - and long-term correction strategy.

5. Deep tissue massage techniques - safe and effective therapeutic contact with fascial tissues.

Seminar's plan:

1 day:

- Superficial back line.

2 day:

- Superficial frontal line.

- Lateral line.

- Spiral line.

3 day:

- Superficial frontal and back lines of the hand.

- Deep frontal and back lines of the hand.

4 day:

- Deep frontal line.

Duration: 4 days (10-17). The conspects & video materials are attached.
