Morphotypes of aging. Video lecture
-
Signs of aging appear on every face, but these age-related changes occur in different ways. However, despite this, we can classify the signs of aging according to certain categories.
Main criteria to consider:
- Condition of soft tissues: firmness and elasticity.
- Dryness and thinning of the skin: a decrease in the amount of fluid in the skin and a general thinning of the dermis, epidermis and subcutaneous fat.
- Wrinkling: depth and structure of wrinkles.
- Deformation: changes in the oval and shape of the face associated with changes in muscle and bone tissue, as well as with the redistribution of fat packets on the face.
Analyzing the above criteria, skin aging morphotypes were identified and classified by Inna Kolgunenko at 1974. According to this classification, there are five types of facial aging: tired, finely wrinkled, deformed, combined and muscular types of aging. Additionally, they are considering another one - senile, exhausted. It occurs in women over 70 years of age.
