"Slow tempo": neuromodulating body massage
-

Neuromodulation is a change in the activity of the central, peripheral or autonomic nervous system through certain electrical, chemical, radio frequency, mechanical influences. For example, in aesthetic procedures, botulinum toxin is used, which blocks the active conduction of a nerve impulse.

This is neuromodulation. Neuromodulation plays an important role in pain therapy.

Performing massage according to certain rules, you can help reduce pain, improve sleep, and reduce anxiety. Massage, which reduces excessive sympathetic activity, promotes quality rest and recovery, reduces fatigue and has a pronounced anti-stress character. Deep relaxation is an invariable consequence of a properly performed neuromodulating massage.

Technically, this massage is different from other, familiar types and styles. It does not have local kneading or other effects on limited areas of the body. There is no back or leg massage in the usual sense. There is contact with a large receptor area, that is, the entire back surface is considered as a common massage area. The massage is dominated by long stretching movements performed at different depths and simultaneous massage of asymmetric zones. In the neuromodulating technique, we encounter a wide variety of unusual routes-trajectories along which the hands move, creating a bizarre pattern of various sensations and forming the prerequisites for a quick immersion in a state of kinesthetic trance and a "reboot" of the nervous system.

At the seminar:

anatomical and physiological characteristics of the receptor apparatus, the basic principles of the theory of "gate control", which underlies most methods of anesthesia and understandable reproducible massage techniques.

Duration: 2 days (10-17). The conspects & video materials are attached.
